California/Nevada Rides

Tim, I want to thank you both for the excellent time I had at the
Pashnit Tours season ender.

I was really impressed with your campground's access to every kind of
single track route and fire road imaginable. I liked the guys I met who
were taking your tour. Most were from the bay area. The offroad tour
went from Tim's campground (5 miles uphill from Pioneer and Volcano) to
Carson City and back the hard way. Each time we road guys crossed
paths with them on Saturday they were muddier and grinning wider.

I greatly enjoyed the road tour side of things. We went from Pioneer,
up 88, southwest on 89 to the Nevada flatlands and back. The leaves
were just turning, and the views were stunning. We went 100 miles of
twisties each way...in 3 hours! Before we left, I reset my FlatBars 'wrist
neutral angle' to WFO like my racers do. I was really grinning when I
hit 135 on the route's only available straightaway. I had another
gear to grab (overdrive)...then that gsxr passed me like I was chained to
a log. Oh well. I was quite happy to be able to keep up in the
twisties with a GSXR1100 and your new Duc Hypermotard...when I finally got
my mind right. It was such a pleasure to totally ignore the speed
limits. I finally lost the chicken strips on my V-Storm!

Where did you come up with that movie about a guy who rode around the
world in 1938? Outdoors movies, with a campfire of whole trees to keep
warm by. (yup! and a loader to put them there) The big trick was
adjusting where your chair is.

Pashnit Tours has a campground with dirt bike access to the ENTIRE MID
SIERRA and beyond. There are more trails available than you could use
in a lifetime. Tim has guided tours, roll mapped routes, or just truck
your bikes in, grab a map and run wild!!! I highly recommend your
camping and trailhead facilities to all of my dual sport friends.
